Dr. Marco Ruvalcaba graduated from the Southern California University of Health Sciences graduate in 2017. Since then he has been practicing chiropractic sports medicine in Long Beach California and Newport Beach CA. While working in California Dr. Ruvalcaba worked with Olympic athletes (USA T&F, Waterpolo, Sailing), Collegiate athletic programs (Cal State Long Beach, Concordia University Irvine, Cal State Fullerton), and Professional Athletic Organizations (Anaheim Ducks in the NHL).
Dr. Marco Ruvalcaba is Active Release Techniques (ART) Full Body Certified, specializing in soft tissue management. (ART) is a hands-on, movement-based soft tissue technique used to treat issues in muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia, and nerves. His expertise focuses on improving movement efficiency, alleviating pain, and enhancing athletic performance. Through his work, Dr. Ruvalcaba supports clients in recovery and functional improvement by applying ART’s specific, hands-on therapy, techniques.
Dr. Ruvalcaba is also a certified Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Level 1 provider. He specializes in enhancing athletic performance and injury prevention. His training with the Titleist Performance Institute focuses on golf-specific movement screening, biomechanics, and tailored fitness protocols to optimize players’ physical abilities and reduce the risk of injury. Passionate about integrating sports science and functional movement, Dr. Ruvalcaba provides personalized assessments and guidance to help golfers of all skill levels improve their game through strategic, targeted conditioning.
Dr. Ruvalcaba is experienced in prenatal and pediatric chiropractic, and has extensive training in sports injury evaluation and treatment, rehabilitation, spinal decompression, kinesiology taping, myofascial release techniques, percussion therapy, and IASTM technique.
During his free time Dr. Marco likes to spend time with his family; wife Erica, sonmLandon, and daughter Liliana. He also enjoys golfing, playing soccer, fishing, and playing ice hockey when he gets the opportunity.
