Dr. Cristina De Cristofaro is a dedicated chiropractor with a passion for helping athletes of all levels perform at their best and recover from injuries effectively. Dr. Cristina specializes in treating sports-related injuries and optimizing athletic performance through a holistic approach to healthcare. 

A former gymnast, soccer player, and Division 1 Track & Field athlete herself, Dr. Cristina understands the demands placed on the body during training and competition. She believes in addressing not only the immediate symptoms of injury but also the underlying biomechanical imbalances and functional limitations that may contribute to repetitive strain or reduced performance. 

Dr. Cristina earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Florida and has since pursued advanced training in a variety of chiropractic techniques, including spinal and extremity adjustments, soft tissue therapy, and corrective exercises tailored to the specific needs of each athlete. She works closely with her patients to develop customized treatment plans designed to promote recovery, and prevent future injuries, and enhance overall athletic performance. She believes in empowering her patients to take an active role in their health and educates them on lifestyle modifications and preventive measures to support long-term wellness. 

In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr. Cristina is committed to staying current with the latest advancements in sports chiropractic care and sports medicine. She regularly attends seminars and workshops to expand her knowledge and skills, ensuring that her patients receive the highest quality care based on the most up-to-date research and best practices. 

Dr. Cristina was born and raised in New Jersey where she earned her biology degree from the New Jersey Institute of Technology while competing and captaining the Women’s Cross Country/ Track and Field team. She was a jumper and a sprinter and earned the department-wide honor of being named the NJIT Female Newcomer of the Year her freshman year. Aside from athletics she also enjoys the arts and attended the Union County Academy for Performing Arts for her High School education and participated in several plays and musicals during her time there. She is of Italian, Colombian, and Uruguayan descent and speaks both Spanish and English fluently. She has lived in 5 different states (NJ, NC, FL, CA, and ID), and has traveled to, and explored 33 states and 5 countries! She believes that her extensive traveling and food touring has allowed her the qualifications to stand by her conviction that NY/NJ bagels and pizza are the best and cannot be convinced otherwise! Outside of the office Dr. Cristina enjoys reading, exploring local hiking trails, coffee shops and eateries with her partner Jesse and their dog, Moose. She also enjoys staying active in the sports community, whether it’s participating in local soccer leagues, or volunteering as a chiropractor for local athletic events such as triathlons, golf or tennis tournaments, and marathons.
