Dr. Beau Dobson, PT, DPT, OCS, CSCS
Dr. Dobson chose a career in physical therapy because of the positive impact physical therapists had on his life. Several athletic injuries temporarily sidelined Dr. Dobson from participation in sports, but ultimately led him to his meaningful profession. He attributes his successful rehabilitation to the partnerships forged with his physical therapists. He gets great satisfaction in seeing his patients recover from injuries and guiding them on their journey to wellness.
Dr. Dobson is a proud Wisconsinite and received both his undergraduate degree of Kinesiology-Exercise and Movement Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Dobson graduated in 2015 and formerly practiced for St. Alphonsus.
He is an Orthopaedic Certified Specialist (OCS). This elite credential from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties signifies in-depth knowledge and skills in orthopaedic physical therapy. Dr. Dobson went through the difficult and elective process of becoming board certified to ensure the highest level of patient care. Additionally, Dr. Dobson is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has a multi-sport background.
He is a dedicated evidence-based practitioner whose skill set applies to all ages and ability levels. His experiences are vast and varied. Dr. Dobson has treated the gamut of ability levels, ranging from professional athletes to individuals who have never played in sports. His clinical interests include: orthopedics, post-operative care, the integration of sport specific training with functional rehabilitation, movement mechanics, manual therapy, and injury prevention. In his free time Dr. Dobson enjoys spending time with his wife, CrossFit, hiking, camping, rafting, hunting, fishing and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Dr. Dobson is an avid Wisconsin Badger and Green Bay Packer fan.
